General Beau will head to the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes after his stable paid the $55,000 late nomination fee.

General Beau has won his last two starts at Caulfield in a brilliant start to the campaign, but there were doubts he would head to the $1.5m race after a tight finish over 1100m last start.

In another boost for General Beau, he will be ridden by in-form hoop Jamie Kah who has been on fire recently and leads the jockey's metropolitan premiership.

General Beau ran second last preparation behind Ingratiating who was a gallant second to Blue Diamond favourite Enthaar two starts back.

Ingratiating franked that with a good win last start at Flemington which reads well for the Ellerton & Zahra trained runner.

General Beau is currently priced at $9 by Sportsbet.
