Ladies Day is here, and all though the ladies are unable to be trackside this year they will be well represented on track in the Group One Kennedy Oaks.

Will the short priced favourite romp it in or will something come from the clouds and stun us all?

Check out our preview and selections below!

FLEMINGTON

RACE 1- 1700M- BM70

2- NOVEMBER DREAMING- Was very good when winning fresh last time, started favourite in a Group 2 last campaign so the class is there. Has an impeccable second-up record which makes for good reading.

6- TRAGIC- Has been very good since returning this campaign, two runs into third and is now ready to peak. Gets a draw to suit here and 1700m is a huge yes.

4- NIGHT WATCHES- Was building a nice campaign before the last where she was bumped at the turn and was unable to recover, forgive that and she should be peaking now.

1- OCEANS THIRTEEN- Ran ok last start at Caulfield in a race won by Sovereign Award and Fabric in second, Sovereign Award has gone onto win while Fabric ran well next start too. Will go forward alone and has carried weight before.

Suggested Bet: 10 units win- November Dreaming

RACE 2- 1000M- GROUP 3 Darley Ottawa Stakes

5- NAPLES- Was very impressive on debut behind the favourite in this race, ran the race fastest last 200m and 400m. Can turn the tables here.

1- FAKE LOVE- Was good when winning on debut, beat some of these on that occasion. Dictated terms there and will look to do the same agin here.

2- TEMPEST CHARM- Had a nightmare debut when missing the kick at the jump and then was held-up at the turn. Still ran fifth fastest last 200m of the day, deserves thought.

9- DOSH- On debut here, cost $155,000. Was very good in jump out but may be a touch short here against some who have race experience.

Suggested Bet: No bet

RACE 3- 1000M- G.H. Mumm Century Stakes

6- ANCESTRY- A great runner to be with, gets on the speed and then kicks clear. Crossed Jungle Edge at MV last time and was never challenged there. Pretty much the same start before that. Will take some catching here. Was poor up the straight last time but stable added tongue tie after that.

3- GARNER- Proven straight runner, looked to have gun ride last start but not sure Caulfield suits and he would rather be further back. Gets a nice draw and can get the race more on his terms

7- FIESTA- Is absolutely flying at the moment, quick back up from last win on Derby Day but she is running on top of the ground at the moment. Last two wins have been superb and she can go again here.

2- CRYSTAL DREAMER- Got back close to his best last start behind Graff, before that he had been struggling. Hard to know yet of the Graff form holds up, I guess we will find out Thursday. Can run a race though.

Suggested Bet: 10 units win- Ancestry /5 units win- Garner

RACE 4- 1800M- BM90

6- SAVAHEAT- Looks the value in the race, won this race last year as he and second gapped third. Won an 1800m race last year second-up which is a plus, was good when returning at Caulfield last start and can win here.

5- ADELAIDE ACE- Has slowly started to show signs that best form is close, has run well over 1400m last two and last win was at this trip. Best is good enough.

8- PANCHO- Been a long time between wins, last score was on this day last year where he defeated Russian Camelot. Has been running well but needs to find the line soon.

11- TINANDALI- Import who was heavily supported in the market as soon as they opened, has been running well and can figure here.

Suggested Bet: 3 units win and 3 units place- Savaheat

RACE 5- 1400M- BM90

3- SKY PUNCH- Won a strong WFA race over this trip first up, that was ten weeks ago so this is essentially first-up again. Has won with both 62kg and 61.5kg before so weight no issue. Looks the one to beat.

8- HOUSAY- Draw last time out forced him back which is less then ideal, gets a nice map here so can figure. Query over the 1400m which is why I’ll be watching.

4- STAR MISSILE- Resumes here, has decent first-up record with two wins from 5 starts. Ran against some smart ones last prep and has a good jump out in lead up to this.

6- CAFFREY- First campaign as a gelding last prep and he won both races, still did some things wrong in those runs though. Query is if he has eradicated those problems from his racing yet or not.

Suggested Bet: No Bet.

RACE 6- 1600M- Inglis Bracelet

3- I AM ELOQUENT- Ran very well behind Sovereign Award last time out, Glen Boss on board said he thought the horse lapped up the heavy ground that day. Is capable on the firmer ground as well though.

4- STROME- Won well last time out, has been brilliant for new stable. Was luckless start before that so we can ignore that. Betting?

5- ROCHA CLOCK- Comes here ready to peak, has been good in two returning runs since returning. Finished second to Dawn Passage which is some very strong form.

11- GAME OF THORNS- Had no luck on return, was poor next run too but vets determined that recovered quite slow from that so maybe all wasn’t right? Oliver on board, yes!

Suggested Bet: 10 units win- I Am Eloquent.

RACE 7- 1600M- BM80

10- KAPLUMPICH- Past two runs have shown his trademark toughness, gives all heart every time he steps out. Ran very well in this last year and I think a win is around the corner.

8- VUNGERS- Peaking here after two very good runs in the lead-up, carried a huge weight last time and had to battle to get on-speed and used too much energy. Drops in the weights which is a huge plus.

6- HIGH EXCALEBRATION- She is in the form of her life at the moment, is running very well and can compete well here. Query is the mile, wet or dry is fine too.

13- PRES DE TOI- Having a good campaign despite being up for a while, found 1400m too sharp last time. Will relish the mile.

Suggested Bet: 5 units win- Kaplumpich.

RACE 8- 2500M- GROUP 1 KENNEDY OAKS

6- MIRAVALLE- Was very good in the Wakeful last start, finished really well behind Victoria Quay whose form was validated as Ain’tnodeeldun won here Tuesday. Her final 400m and 200m sectionals were in the top 10 of the day, looks like 2500m could be right up her ally.

1- MONTEFILIA- A dual Group One winner is very hard to look past, no knock on here just the price isn’t worth it for me. But she is the class in the race, she was super strong to the line in the Champion stakes, distance looks no issue.

2- PERSONAL- Is due a win right? Race was run very quick in the Wakeful which will be a good trial for this, just a query on winning ability at this stage. Can win though.

7- TYCHE GODDESS- Ran a brilliant race at a big price last start, tempo suggested she would fade away but she stuck on well. Believe she will stay the trip and may take some catching.

Suggested Bet: 10 units win- Miravalle

RACE 9- 1100M- GROUP 3

6- WRITTEN BEAUTY- An absolute star, has plenty of speed and is a very smart galloper. Last two wins have been track-records, down the straight is an unknown but has a nice gate and can blast us out in the last.

4- MINHAAJ- Has placed behind September Run last two which is very strong form, that one is now a Group One winner. Draws wider which may help and likes the straight.

2- BELLA NIPOTINA- Was a total forgive run in the Moir, other then that her form has been terrific against her own sex. Straight is a query but looks over the odds.

11- HIGHLY DISCREET- Had the gun run last time at MV and was very good there behind a good one. First-up run behind Swat’s That looks very good after that one placed in the Coolmore. Each-way chance.

Suggested Bet: 20 units win- Written Beauty.
