Punters will be allowed back trackside this Saturday at Flemington with up to 5000 racegoers allowed to attend.
The Victoria Racing Club announced on Wednesday that spectators would make their way back to headquarters this weekend after the Victorian Government gave them the all clear.
“This is the most anticipated raceday of the winter for many Flemington fans and VRC members, and has been a successful launchpad for a number of spring contenders,” VRC CEO Steve Rosich said.
“We are delighted to be able to welcome crowds back to Flemington on Saturday to enjoy the spectacle of top-class winter racing and watch Jamie Kah in action.”
Kah could be set for a history making day as she looks to become the first jockey in Victorian racing history to break the 100 city winners in a season.
Kah is storming towards her maiden premiership and has a healthy book of rides for Saturday.
Patrons returned to the track in Melbourne last week at Caulfield after Melbourne's lockdown was lifted.
