The Melbourne Cup has been run and won, with all ten races at Flemington now completed.

Here are the results from every race today.

Race 1: Darley Maribyrnong Plate (1000 metres)

A sprint to start the day down the Flemington straight saw Brereton and Renosu kick away from the field in the final 300 metres to fight out the win between themselves.

Renosu, in the middle of the track, could hold off a charging Brereton, while Le Gagneur won the photo finish for third.

Race 2: The Macca's Run (2800 metres)

The first long race of the day saw a fairly easy pace through the first 2000 metres before things quickened up. Think We're Due was the front-runner, but couldn't maintain the rage as Team Captain out jumped the favourites to race away with a victory ahead of Accountability and Good Idea.

Race 3: Resimax Group Subzero (1400 metres)

A fast pace at the front of affairs wouldn't stop Blaike McDougall riding his second winner of the day on Excelman, mowing down Naval Envou who had set the early pace at the front. The favourite, Housay, finished down in fourth spot.

Race 4: Furphy Plate (1800 metres)

Milton Park led from Lord Vladivostok most of the way. Despite a late charge from Sky Man however, Milton Park led from start to finish to take the victory ahead of Sky Man and a fast-finishing Charleise.

Race 5: Grinders Coffee Roasters-bm90 (1400 metres)

Pindaric was the early leader in the fifth, with Holbien and Ocean Beyond caught three wide around the turn for home.

Out of the clump of horses down the straight, Lackeen went straight past Frankie Pinot, while Blondeau came up to take third spot.

Race 6: The Schweppervescence Plate (1000 metres)

Profiteer dominated the sixth race of the day. Enthaar had a sluggish start and couldn't make up the ground, with the favourite racing away ahead of Direct.

Race 7: The Melbourne Cup (3200 metres)

Incentivise might have come in as the red-hot favourite, but it didn't end that one, despite the short-priced favourite leading through the final 300 metres.

Instead, Very Ellegant came from the clouds to secure the victory, with Spanish Mission rounding out the podium.

Race 8: Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes (1400 metres)

The post Melbourne Cup races kicked off with the Hong Kong Jockey Club Stakes, and Rich Hips was never being caught. Coming from the field to the front in the final 500 metres, the number two kicked clear to win comfortably ahead of Excelida and Paul's Regret.

Race 9: TAB Trophy (1800 metres)

One of the closest races of the day, Race 9 on the card at Flemington saw an incredibly tight tustle between three horses who charged up to the line neck and neck. In the end, Spirit of Gaylard had the pace to get the job done.

Race 10: MSS Security Sprint (1200 metres)

The final race of the day, a straight sprint up the Flemington straight, saw $6 chance Quantico take the victory. The pack bunched up down the middle of the track, with a sprint for the line.
